
In this 12-track album, the author uses the influences of classical music with jazz, especially the portuguese one.
João Barreto recorded “The Lonely Tree” at just 16 years old. The project was produced by the Argentine musician Pablo Lapidusas and edited by the publisher Respirar de Ouvido. It has the institutional support of Antena 2 radio.

Young jazz pianist, composer and producer.
João Barreto's music is influenced by Brad Mehldau, Tigran Hamasyan, Chick Corea, Avishai Cohen, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Michel Camilo, Pablo Lapidusas but also by different Portuguese artists, like Júlio Resende and Bernardo Sassetti.
He was born in 2005 in Portugal and grew up hearing many different music styles, from classical to rock music from the 80's.
His first contact with piano was at the young age of 3 years old, and by the time he was 9, he started playing jazz standards, with the Argentine musician Pablo Lapidusas.
At 13, he started writing his first ideas and at the age of 15 he released his first album with the help and co-production of his teacher, Pablo Lapidusas...
