JOÃO'S 2ND IMPROMPTU

João's Impromptu no. 2 in C major. In this piece, João takes an improvised small theme and from that, he creates a whole new world. He plays with the harmony in half and whole steps and messes around with some non-tonal cadences.
JOÃO'S IMPROMPTUS

My first impromptu! This piece was completely improvised and it's amazing being able to create something in the moment of playing. I was creating music live and I was able to tell the story I wanted to tell thru music. I'm now starting my experience in free improvisation and I'm mostly inspired by Keith Jarrett. He's an alive legend and he is my biggest idol .

To wish a merry Christmas to everyone, João played a small arrangement of the famous tune Silent Night. This arrangement was strongly influenced by his idol Jacob Collier.
